BOOTS DIGITAL COUNTERS SHINE
An innovative light box system was developed for Boots The Chemists, for trials in Glasgow Fort and London's Sedley Place. Utilising three A1 Katana light boxes in series to illuminate the punchy graphics displaying the high quality digital and traditional processing services that Boots offer. Light boxes have proven to catch the customer's eye and it follows that this should make it quicker and easier for the customer to choose the service they require before reaching the counter. The light box system was tilted at a 10° angle for easy viewing for the customer and was suspended on a specially developed steel cable system. Format Manager, Lisa Ellis commented, "The light box system looks very modern, is a beacon for the photo department and is really driving customer awareness of the breadth of processing services that Boots offers". If the trials are successful it is hoped that it could be rolled out to all shops with photo counters to enhance the POS within the stores.

Printing & display services - Updates: "HARVEY NICHOLS BRIGHTEN UP MENSWEAR
Top fashion outlet Harvey Nichols decided a light box would be a fantastic medium to brighten up their in-store display by introducing illuminated informational signage to the Menswear department.

The scheme was to assist customers with navigating around the department, as it had previously lacked directional signage and the proposed bespoke Hercules light box with informational graphic would be the ideal solution.

W&Co produced the custom sized light box and inkjet printed the backlit graphic which was fitted into the light box which was delivered on schedule and was well received.

See the quality for yourself at Harvey Nichols, Knightsbridge, London. "

ABBEY ILLUMINATES DARK NIGHTS
W&Co supplied and installed the prestigious Katana ultra slim light boxes to a number of Abbey banks around the country as part of their re-branding. This was successfully completed and created a wonderful showcase for Abbey's new marketing message.

As light boxes have been proven to significantly increase not only customer traffic but also sales, Abbey were very keen to utilise them to experience the benefits first-hand. Market research by a leading European bank which had the light boxes in their windows found that banks using the double sided ultra slim light boxes on pole systems enjoyed more than a 30% increase in sales.

The Katana double-sided A0 light boxes fixed to a specially manufactured pole system in the banks' windows maximise the advertising area to customers inside the bank and potential customers outside. These were complemented by single sided Katana ultra slim light boxes mounted onto the walls making the most of previously unused advertising areas.

Abbey were so pleased with the look of the A0 light boxes that there is a potential to use A2 double sided Katana light boxes above the ATM machines inside the banks

I was really impressed with the improvements of DealTime's website. I can't remember last time I checked them out but I used to rate their site as secondary to Pricerunner and definitely Kelkoo. I think they have surpassed them now.

W&Co Light box wall for BMW Park Lane

W&Co supplied and installed Titan light boxes (http://www.w-co.co.uk/titan_light_box.shtml) at the new BMW Mini show room in Park Lane. The Brief was to create an illuminated wall, consisting of 12 light boxes, each being 2.1 metres square in a 3x4 configuration and a London at night graphic stretched accross the entire wall. Due to the size of the light boxes and the need for a frameless finish, the Titan light box with a pvc facia was decided upon. After further planning, various sizes changed as the boxes had to fit around a mezzanine floor and supporting RSJ. BMW also required the light boxes to be dimmed at certain times of day. For this to work, the internal electrics of the light boxes had to be specialy equipped with electronic dimmable ballast and low voltage wiring. After much planning and preperation, the light boxes plus an additional 4 non-dimmable versions were produced and fitted into the new showroom. An image of a New Mini Cooper S on a racing track was stretched across these boxes which was installed into an alcove, making them appear flush to the wall. The main 12 light boxes, were installed on a 7 metre high wall, as a backdrop across 2 floors. The finished display turned out very well, and BMW Park Lane were very happy with it. The Showroom is open from December 1st 2004, Park Lane, London.
