W&Co supplied and installed Titan light boxes (http://www.w-co.co.uk/titan_light_box.shtml) at the new BMW Mini show room in Park Lane. The Brief was to create an illuminated wall, consisting of 12 light boxes, each being 2.1 metres square in a 3x4 configuration and a London at night graphic stretched accross the entire wall. Due to the size of the light boxes and the need for a frameless finish, the Titan light box with a pvc facia was decided upon. After further planning, various sizes changed as the boxes had to fit around a mezzanine floor and supporting RSJ. BMW also required the light boxes to be dimmed at certain times of day. For this to work, the internal electrics of the light boxes had to be specialy equipped with electronic dimmable ballast and low voltage wiring. After much planning and preperation, the light boxes plus an additional 4 non-dimmable versions were produced and fitted into the new showroom. An image of a New Mini Cooper S on a racing track was stretched across these boxes which was installed into an alcove, making them appear flush to the wall. The main 12 light boxes, were installed on a 7 metre high wall, as a backdrop across 2 floors. The finished display turned out very well, and BMW Park Lane were very happy with it. The Showroom is open from December 1st 2004, Park Lane, London.
